The squash tail offers a little more surface area, extends the rail line and has a more forgiving feel than a roundtail. The Egg Not is a great board to have in your quiver. When the surf is average, you can catch the wave well and carry yourself through the sections, but the board is still loose enough to turn with ease. And when the surf gets a bit bigger, it still works amazingly well! The Egg Not has a moderate rocker at the front end of the board which aids paddling speed, catching waves and overall planing. The curve is slightly above average, which helps to tighten the arc of your turns without sacrificing speed. The thickness of the board is a little too thin for a board of this size. The thinner rails make it easier to push the board into the water and also help it to hold up better in bigger surf. The fin setup is your choice here. For a better riding experience, we recommend a 4-fin quad setup.
