What is a Carver and surfskate
Surf skateboards are most often referred to as carver skateboards or surfskates. Regardless of the designation surf skateboards a skateboard that must simulate the feeling of surfing. The surf feeling cannot be taken away from these surfskates, it really resembles surfing! Trucks are the component that connects the wheels and the tire. Trucks on a surfskate are constructed in such a way that they enable easy and trouble-free carving. Carving abilities that cannot be compared to carving on a skateboard, cruiser or longboard. In this way, surf skate is a brilliant way to get the feeling of carving in the legs. The board will also be lively and this makes it possible to practice more radical surf maneuvers such as a cutback or roundhouse. Since the board is more lively, it also requires that the wheels on the board have more grip. Therefore, a surfskate will always have soft and larger wheels compared to a normal skateboard. This ensures that you do not slip out while practicing your surf maneuvers. Most often, surf skateboards will be shaped like a surfboard, and therefore come in many different shapes and sizes. On YouTube there are many good tutorials that explain and show how you should practice a given surf maneuver on your surf skateboard. There are therefore hours of surf development and learning ahead of you if you acquire a surfskate.
