What is a surf poncho?
The surf poncho, also known as the surfer poncho, is a poncho with a hood usually made of a soft 'towel' fabric. The surf poncho is particularly smart because it allows surfers and other water sports enthusiasts to change clothes more easily when getting in and out of the wetsuit. At the same time, it is also an extremely comfortable changing solution. The poncho protects you from the cold wind when, for example, you change your clothes at the beach, car park or other open areas. The surf poncho will most often be made of thick cotton and is thus also an ideal solution for quickly getting warm when you change. However, other changing ponchos will also be made of a thinner quick-drying material. Before you invest in a poncho, you must therefore choose whether you want a warm and thick or quick-drying and thin surf poncho. Fortunately, you do not have to wonder whether you are looking for a men's poncho or a women's poncho, as the cut and fit in the vast majority of models will be unisex. In addition, it must be said that there are of course junior and children's sizes.
Usage situations
The surfer poncho is not exclusively used by surfers or other water sports enthusiasts. There are many situations where the poncho proves to be a very smart and comfortable solution. Among other things, the poncho is ideal for winter bathers, beachgoers and indeed anyone who wants an easy dressing solution. In particular, the poncho is brilliant for the smaller water dogs, as it makes changing clothes a breeze while also acting as a quick way to warm up after a dip in the water.

We have not reduced the thickness of the fabric in our ponchos and they are therefore extremely warm and comfortable. This solution provides even more warmth, as the wind cannot penetrate the body in the same way. This model has an embroidered cold water surfing logo sitting on the chest region, as well as a cute little dannebrog on the bottom left side of the poncho.
We also have our smart Cold Water Surfing junior poncho, which has many of the same features as the adult model. However, our junior models use the solution with a small cutout for the arms. The cutout will be easier for the little ones to get their arms through compared to a solution with sleeves.
The poncho jacket
In conclusion, we cannot talk smart dressing solutions without telling you about the poncho jacket. The poncho jacket functions both as a warm and comfortable jacket while having many of the same properties as the simpler surf poncho. The poncho jacket usually has a zip on the front, which makes it easier to get in and out. At the same time, most of these jackets are lined with fleece, which creates a particularly warm and cozy changing environment. In addition, some models will have a waterproof outer shell, which makes changing on rainy days less cumbersome.
