That's why we didn't take the usual path of making an "easy going" freemove board and then trying to add as many classic wave and freestyle features as possible. Instead, we went the other way around.

In other words, the starting point was a powerful new school freestyle board, which naturally led to maximum speed and lift.

This shape was then adjusted so it also works well as a capable wave board in shoulder-high side-on waves. For the ULTRA FreeWave to perform in side-on wave conditions, it had to be sharp and direct and truly work with a tri-fin setup.

Now let’s look at the key elements of a great Bump & Jump Freemove board. For us, it’s all about strong acceleration, control, and ease of handling.

But what’s really new and special for such a board is the sharp feeling. Instead of feeling dull and boring to ride, the ULTRA FreeWave offers an exciting ride without losing control or wind range. This is why the FreeWave has been given the ULTRA name. The ULTRA FreeWave not only brings excitement when doing or learning new moves, but is also super fun in a straight line, putting a smile on your face throughout the whole session.

Our second goal was to create the first move-convertible board that works equally well in single- and tri-fin setups and changes its character dramatically:

But we didn’t stop there. Instead of the usual semi-custom method, the ULTRA FreeWave is now built with FULL CUSTOM Technology, the same way high-end custom boards are made. As a result, both versions are about 200g lighter than previous models, yet even stronger.

So you see, the legendary FreeWave has been improved in every way, rightly becoming the ULTRA FreeWave.

The ULTRA FreeWave comes in 6 sizes: 74, 84, 94, 104, 112, and 119 litres for heavier riders and lighter winds.
