Duotone Mast-Fuselage Set Aero Mid QM SLS/AL 3BS

The profile of the Aero Mid QM SLS mast is positioned between the SLS and D/LAB masts, designed to reduce drag compared to the SLS mast while still delivering high strength in both bending and torsional directions. This results in an incredibly fast and responsive ride, even with larger wingspan wings.

Building on the success of our Quickmount system, first introduced on our alu masts, it was clear that we needed to bring this feature to our carbon mast customers as well.

We've developed a new profile, with thickness and chord length halfway between our thicker SLS mast and thinner D/LAB mast. This makes it the perfect choice for those wanting the ease of use of the Quickmount system in a premium, lightweight carbon construction.

Available in 75 cm, 82 cm, and 90 cm

Building on the great feedback from our 60cm Alu 3BS fuselage, we decided to extend these improvements to our longer fuselages. We now offer 66cm and 74cm AL 3BS fuselages replacing our previous carbon 68cm and 78cm fuselages.

Switching to aluminum construction allows us to reduce the fuselage’s cross section, thereby reducing drag generated by the fuselage. At the same time, we increase strength while only adding 2.5% more weight. Our AL 3BS fuselages all feature a small recess at the rear for the stabilizer to fit into, helping improve hydrodynamics.

They also have large cut-outs where the front wing mount is located to help keep weight to a minimum. Sure, the new aluminum fuselages will require a bit more care and need to be dismantled and rinsed with fresh water after each use, but we believe the performance gain is worth it!
