    • Washing: Rinse the padding in lukewarm fresh water after each use, especially after saltwater. Hand-wash as needed with mild soap, and avoid bleach, harsh cleaning products, and washing machines.
    • Drying: Let the padding air-dry at room temperature, preferably with the padding facing up. Avoid tumble dryers, hair dryers, radiators, and direct sunlight, as heat can damage the material.
    • Storage: Store the padding once completely dry in a cool, dry, well-ventilated place, for example attached to the helmet or in a fabric bag. Avoid sealed plastic bags and damp environments, which can cause odors and mold.
    • General: Avoid contact with sharp objects and strong chemicals, and regularly check the snaps and seams for wear.
