KITE BOARDS

Kiteboards come in several different shapes and types designed to perform maximally in the various kite disciplines. We will use some space on this page to review the different types of kiteboards. With a view to you as an upcoming kitesurfing enthusiast having the opportunity to get a better knowledge of the different kitesurfboard types.

Twin-tip kiteboards

Probably the most well-known kiteboard is the twin-tip. This board has a wakestyle-like design and therefore also has many of the same properties as a classic wakeboard. For kitesurfing, the twin tip is used in many kite disciplines. To name just a few of these, they include: Freestyle, freeride and big air. On the underside of the twin-tip, 4 fins must be installed. These 4 fins are basically included when you invest in a new board. In order for the board to be ready to go on the water, a handle must be mounted in the middle of the board, but most importantly two so-called footpads or bindings in Danish. As a starting point, these two parts are purchased separately. You can see our large selection of bindings and other kitesurf accessories by following the link here.

Light wind kiteboards

This type of board is similar in many ways to the twin-tip board described above. However, the light wind board has an even more rectangular design compared to the twin-tip. This creates more surface area, which contributes to earlier planning. A feature that benefits you in light wind conditions. The board can also function as a super good opportunity for the slightly heavier kitesurfer to achieve fast planing and maximum fun on the water.

Wave kiteboards

The wave board or kitesurf board is in many ways reminiscent of a classic surfboard. Typically these boards also have the same design as a shortboard, but are not completely comparable. The wave board is, as the name suggests, created for kitesurfing in the waves of the sea. They can be surfed both with foot straps/bindings or strapless. Many choose to surf them strapless as this gives the most freedom and the ultimate surf feel. These boards are typically on the heavier end in terms of weight. This is because they have to withstand and handle more pressure than what a classic surf shortboard should be able to do. They are therefore designed to be extremely durable and this is possible by, among other things, giving them a thicker layer of epoxy. Right now we have a super cool Duotone Wam strapless wave board at a sharp price. Check it out by pressing here.

Demo kiteboards

At regular intervals, we choose to change our kite school and/or rental equipment and sell off the used. We think this should of course benefit you. So if you are looking for a kiteboard at a sharp price, you may be lucky to find a demo board here on the page or under the category demo water sports equipment.
