Duotone E_Pace SLS 2025

The E_PACE SLS was created from a very ambitious design brief and therefore took 2 years of intense development. Based on the incredibly versatile original E_PACE, the aim for the SLS version was to achieve a sportier feel combined with better acceleration and power compared to other no-cam freerace sails. Following the SLS approach, we also wanted to make the lightest no-cam freerace film sail on the market without giving up durability. The result is simply stunning as the E_PACE SLS is the fastest and lightest no-cam freerace sail we have ever made. A more forward draft position gives the E_PACE SLS a sporty feel very similar to the S_PACE or WARP. To stop this forward shift from causing a catapult effect, the leech is slightly more open, which also improves high-end control (= top speed). The clever use of CARBON XPLY in the high-stress clew and top areas leads to the most effective change of wind energy into forward motion. However, the slightly more flexible regular XPLY in the body stops the power from becoming unmanageable. A common trait of many other no-cam freerace sails is to greatly sacrifice low-end performance in the hunt for top speed. To avoid this, we increased the sail’s pre-shaping, which improves acceleration and power despite the more open leech. Another highlight of the intense development is a weight drop of a huge 500g, making the E_PACE SLS the lightest no-cam freerace film sail on the market. We achieved this through our STRIPPED TO THE MAX reduction in optics, our unique ONE-PIECE SLEEVE, and single-layer high-tech reinforcement patches replacing the usual 5-layer patches. Yet, the panel thickness has not been reduced, giving the E_PACE SLS the best low weight versus strength ratio on the market. We back this with our 5 YEAR WARRANTY extension – something no other brand offers! Attention: 1. The increased pre-shaping needs a higher outhaul tension than the original E_PACE (about 2 cm more eyelet tension = 8 cm more rope tension). This extra pre-shaping also means the lower battens of the E_PACE SLS won’t rotate as easily as the original E_PACE in non-planing or drifting conditions. In other words, the E_PACE SLS calls for a more active jibing technique over the backhand. 2. Because the E_PACE SLS is a more uncompromising performance sail than the original E_PACE, it has a smaller downhaul trim range.
