Duotone Warp_Foil 20.25

The WARP_FOIL expands our PWA and IFCA fin slalom champion sail range. It’s a special and highly advanced foil design made for foil racers seeking something that matches the low resistance of the hydrofoil. Compared to traditional fin sailing, you get about 70% less drag on the foil. Because of this, it needs a completely different sail design (shape, twist pattern, height-to-width ratio) to suit the low-resistance hydrofoils.

The design of the 20.24 marked a turning point, as we were able to greatly improve the wind range (= better average speed) and the flight control at the top end (= better maximum speed). To do this, we significantly increased the luff curve and made the head smaller. A shorter boom length and the addition of a large double-foil sleeve size were also key design features.

The WARP_FOIL 2024 concept was very well received, so we chose to build on its success with an updated version. By changing the batten setup to a stiffer arrangement, we kept the sail’s amazing efficiency while improving control in stronger winds. This change comes with a slightly flatter front edge of the sail, which boosts top speed in all sizes. Together, these updates make the WARP_FOIL an even better foil sail for 2025.

To us, the WARP_FOIL 20.25 sets a new standard for the balance of control, performance, and wind range. It’s made purely to win low-resistance hydrofoil races!

Note: for top performance, the WARP_FOIL comes with 4 carbon tube battens. These battens are stiffer but sadly also more delicate than glass tube battens. Because of this, they are not covered by our warranty!
