Description

ION Surf Boardbag Core is minimalist protection for your board - from the car all the way to the water. It’s made for surfers and kitesurfers with directionals who want a lightweight, durable bag for everyday transport in the car, on the roof rack, and at the beach. Its simple construction and low weight make it easy to handle whenever you’re heading out on the water.

The shell is made from 100% recycled material, and 5 mm of padding all around protects your board from dents and scratches while keeping wax off your car seats. On the underside, the off-white PE surface reflects the sun’s heat, keeping the inside of the bag cool even when it’s on the roof rack or in the sand.

  • Compatible with shoulder strap: Attach a strap with two carabiners (sold separately) and carry the bag comfortably over your shoulder.

    Maintaining your ION Surf Boardbag Core

    Cleaning: Rinse the bag with fresh water after use, especially after contact with salt water, and wipe it with a damp cloth. Do not use a washing machine, bleach, or strong cleaning products, as they can damage the material and coating.

    Drying: Let the bag air-dry in a shady spot with the zipper open. Avoid tumble dryers, radiators, and prolonged exposure to direct, intense sunlight, as heat and UV rays can break down the material over time.

    Storage: Always store the bag completely dry, preferably loosely rolled or laid flat in a cool, well-ventilated place. Remove moisture and wax residue before long-term storage to help the material last longer.

    What size Surf Boardbag Core should I choose?

    Choose a size based on your board’s length and width: 5'6" fits boards up to 165 x 54 cm, 5'8" up to 173 x 53 cm, and 6'0" up to 183 x 53 cm. Measure your board and choose the size where both measurements are within the limits.

    Does the bag fit kitesurf boards?

    Yes, its design fits both narrow and wider directionals. Just check your board’s measurements against the maximum board dimensions for each size.

    Is the bag waterproof?

    The outer material has a water-repellent PU coating that protects against splashes and moisture during transport, but the bag is not completely waterproof.

    Can I use a shoulder strap with the bag?

    Yes, the bag is compatible with a shoulder strap with two carabiners. However, a strap is not included - it must be purchased separately.

    What can I use the accessory pocket for?

    The fixed pocket has room for screws, tools, and other small items, so you always have the essentials with you on your way to the water.
