Duotone Viper HD 2025

Starting with our wonderful sport never comes without bumps, especially in the busy daily life of a surf center. That’s why the VIPER HD is made with a focus on toughness using our ASA SANDWICH TECHNOLOGY, which is the strongest semi-custom method to date. We use a 0.8mm thermoplastic polymer ASA skin on the outside covering the EPS-Epoxy-Glass sandwich core. The thermoformed ASA material is known for its outstanding impact and ding resistance. An extra wide reinforcing band around the rails protects the most exposed area from mast hits.

The VIPER HD comes in 3 different sizes to suit all kinds of student body weights:

• Body weight <70kg >> VIPER HD 180
• Body weight 65-95kg >> VIPER HD 210
• Body weight >85kg >> VIPER HD 240

Even though the VIPER HD might look plain at first glance, it features some clever shape details:

• The rocker line with a longer flat section in the middle improves stability and efficiency in sub-planing conditions. A smooth rocker towards the tail allows a gentle shift into gliding/planing mode without sudden or overwhelming bursts of power.
• Fuller rails in the nose and middle increase the volume and make the VIPER HD very stable. Ergonomic rails towards the tail give a good response to sail or foot steering.
• Perfect for the first windsurfing experience: The overall width gives excellent steadiness for uphauling, while the parallel outline and longer waterline keep it tracking well in a straight line at lower speeds. Yet this design also offers easy gliding and early planing, making it the ultimate school board.
• The bottom has a V shape with concaves in the front combined with a flat, gradually deepening V towards the back. This is the ideal balance between comfort, ease, and control even in choppy water.

The VIPER HD is a high-tech learning tool packed with features to boost the learning experience:

70% EVA PAD

A large 6mm deck pad covers the whole standing area, giving a foot-friendly riding feel. The pad ends above the rail for durability when stored and pushed into board racks. We only choose EVA colours that don’t look dirty after use and also resist fading after hours in the sun.

RETRACTABLE DAGGERBOARD

There’s no substitute for a retractable daggerboard when it comes to daily use in a busy surf center. We only use the original Allgaier daggerboard, which is the most reliable and practical system. Spare parts are widely available, making it easy to service.

EASY HANDLING + SAFETY

Handles on the nose and tail make it easier to carry the board into the water. They can also be used as attachment points to lock the boards at night.

VIPER FIN incl. Quick-Lock System

The 34cm fin is large enough for directional stability yet short enough to allow launching in shallow water. The edges are not too sharp to reduce the risk of injury. Our P-COMPOUND material guarantees maximum durability. The Quick-Lock System is the most convenient way to mount your fin as it doesn’t need a screwdriver – perfect for rack storage. The recessed extender lever gives maximum leverage and is 100% fail-safe.
