Hvide Sande Nord - The Fjord Side

Directly outside WestWind Nord's Surfcenter is a unique spot suitable for the whole family. The fjord offers large areas of shallow water where you can anchor anywhere, and is perfect for both windsurfers and kitesurfers. All wind directions work on the spot, as you can go up to 800m out, and thus get stable wind even in offshore winds. Good grass area for setting up, with parking options close to the spot. Canals with calm water are ideal for SUP trips in beautiful natural surroundings, and all necessary equipment can be rented from Westwind Nord. Be aware of fishing nets and net poles, bathers, dogs and children as well as onshore winds!

Hvide Sande Syd - The Fjord Side

The spot is suitable for windsurfers and you can bottom in an area of ​​500m out. There is relatively flat water. All wind directions work on the spot except north and northwest. Good grass area for setting up, and good parking options close to the spot. Be aware of fishing nets and net poles, bathers, dogs and children as well as onshore winds!

Kloster

The spot is a flat water mecca for kite surfers with a shallow water depth as much as 2 km out into the fjord. Kloster is the ultimate freestyle spot with its completely flat water. Good grass area for setting up, benches and the possibility of a barbecue. However, slightly limited parking options in the high season. The spot is not suitable for windsurfing due to a lot of sea grass. Be aware of fishing net poles and other kites due to the narrow entry and exit point.

Hvide Sande - Sydmolen (Flynder point)

Here we have a unique wave spot that can accommodate all disciplines at the same time! With a chalk-white, long and wide sandy beach, there is no shortage of places to frolic, and in high season you can go further down the beach if necessary. The waves are slow and soft, but can get big, and the shorebreak is easy to get out through. After the harbor expansion in 2012, the south pier has become 750m long, which means that the spot now has good conditions for learning to sail/surf waves at the beginner stage. A large car park with toilet facilities is connected to the beach where you can spend the night by car for a fee in the long-term car park. The spot is popularly called Flounder point by the local surfers. Be aware of the prohibition zone , bathers, currents, the stone pier and upwind close to the dunes.

Betweens

The spot is sheltered between the south pier and the north pier, and offers really clean waves for surfers and SUPers. The spot holds up in a lot of wind, as you are sheltered, and it requires that it has been blowing in the days leading up to - to get really big waves pushed in. On days like this, the shorebreak can be demanding. Water conditions and currents can be affected by the lock on the fjord side. Be aware that currents will always be outwards at both piers. The wide, white sandy beach is really delicious here, and on quiet summer days the place is great for beginners and beachgoers!

A large car park with toilet facilities is connected to the beach, where you can spend the night by car for a fee in the long-term car park. Pay attention to prohibited zones , bathers, currents, the stone pier and the open lock.
