Watch here as Søren takes our prototype of the Duotone Eagle Freeride (Twinser) 2026 with two fins out on the water in Bork Havn and shares his first impressions:

Duotone Eagle: Designed for early planing and easy jibes

Together with his surf companion Kasper, our team rider Søren tested our prototype of the Duotone Eagle Freeride (Twinser) 2026 in Bork Havn. The conditions were perfect for a 7.8 sail and a medium board. The first thing that strikes us about the Duotone Eagle is its ability for early planing. Although the board is not the thickest, it feels solid and gets planing quickly. This makes it an ideal windsurf board for both experienced riders and those looking to improve their planing technique.

Why two fins on the Duotone Eagle Freeride (Twinser) 2026?

The most striking feature of this board is its two fins. With 22 cm short fins, the Duotone Eagle is optimized for sailing in shallow water, which we often find in Bork Havn, but also in flatwater areas in Holland and France. Although two fins can be a compromise for some, Søren found that it worked surprisingly well. It provides a good balance between control and maneuverability, making the board very forgiving to sail.

The round rails further contribute to the board's user-friendliness, making it easy to jibe and maintain planing through turns. This is a great advantage for freeride windsurfing, where comfort and easy handling are key.

A good compromise for the freerider

As an experienced windsurfer, Søren was initially skeptical about the concept of two short fins, as he normally prefers stronger, longer fins on slalom boards. But the Duotone Eagle positively surprised him. It's a freeride board that is easy to get planing, easy to jibe, and can sail upwind if necessary. It's fast and fun to sail, especially on flat water.

Is the Duotone Eagle Freeride (Twinser) 2026 for you?

If you are looking for a windsurf board that is easy to handle, provides early planing, and is fun to sail in various conditions, especially in shallow water, then the Duotone Eagle Freeride (Twinser) 2026 with two fins is a board you should consider. It's perfect for no-cam and two-cam freeride sails, and delivers an excellent experience for the freerider.
